Morike Sissoko Awarded SEE Education Foundation Scholarship

Morike Sissoko of Bamako, Mali (West Africa) was awarded the SEE Education Foundation Scholarship in the amount of $4,000 for the 2020-2021 academic year. Morike is a junior majoring in Mining Engineering at Penn State University. He is a member and serves as secretary of both the SME & ISEE student chapters.

“By awarding me with this scholarship, you have reduced my financial burden, which allows me to focus on my schoolwork and not worry so much about how I am going to pay for school and related expenses,” said Morike. “I hope one day that I will also be able to help struggling students reach their goals in higher education by assisting them the same way you are helping me. Thank you very much for your generosity.”

 

 

Kolbe Welliver Awarded the Pennsylvania College of Technology Scholarship

Kolbe Welliver of Turbotville, PA was awarded the Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter ISEE Scholarship through the Pennsylvania College of Technology for the 2020-2021 academic year. Kolbe was also the recipient of this award for the 2019-2020 academic year. Kolbe is currently a sophomore in the Civil Engineering Technology and the Surveying Technology Programs. He was awarded $700 which will be divided between the fall and spring semester.
