Crazy Horse Memorial

Mountain crew members were recently on top of Crazy Horse’s head installing additional cable and stanchions to fulfil rope safety standards and calculate the amount of air hose that would be needed to reach work area in preparation for carving the hairline.

The crew was also working on Crazy Horse’s hand and mane area. One of the carvers was operating the “Mrs. Z” drill which is debuting on the backside of Crazy Horse’s left arm/elbow area.
